Making long URL’s shorter.

Have you ever come Across a site that has some really great content that you just have to share?
You look up and see the URL is about 50 characters long?
When it looks like this: http://global-video-pages.com/index.php?option=com_sobi2&sobi2Task=sobi2Details&sobi2Id=106&Itemid=
You try and post it on Facebook and it just looks ugly, taking up the whole page and nobody wants to click on it because its so long. Well, there is a Solution. I thought I’d give you a couple of solutions:
1. TinyURL,
Probably the most porular URL generator on the internet. It works Quite simple.
It will take a long URL like this: http://global-video-pages.com/index.php?option=com_sobi2&sobi2Task=sobi2Details&sobi2Id=106&Itemid= and turn it into this:http://tinyurl.com/4jwthw
Both of those links point to the same Page, but the way they get there just looks different.
2. w3t.org
W3t.org does the same as TinyURL, looks different to tinyurl’s url.
The above long link is turned into http://w3t.org/u/81ch
3. Doiop
What Doiop allows you to do is actually define your own keyword so you can give your short link some context, something simple which many URL shortening services just don’t offer.
In this case: http://doiop.com/bu1cn7
