a Blog for a Website?

Have you ever thought of using a blog for your company website?
Has the idea ever crossed your mind? Well I’ve thought about it before and I have tried it aswell. I think that using a blog as a company website is a great idea.
why?
For starters you can manage your content completely. You can change your contact us details whenever they change. You don’t have to wait for your web designer to make the changes. They won’t charge you if you don’t need them. So, with a blog you can cut them out almost immediately. You won’t really have to spend alot of money having your website designed.
With a Wordpress blog, you can simply go to their website and browse through their templates and pick one you like.
Pro’s of a blog:
Well I’ve covered most of them above. Here are the top 3:
1. you control your content completely and easily
2. you won’t have to spend alot of time and money on designing a website.
3. Easy to set up, and you create a more interactive approach with your clients.
Pro’s of a website:
1. The possibilities are endless. You can do whatever you want with your website, and the designers are really creative.
2. They look very good and professional.
3. They leave alot of space for improvement and new levels of the internet industry.
In general terms, a website (+/- a corporative blog) is much more needed in large or small building reputation companies), whereas blogs without a website are preferred generally in some businesses in which constant contact with the target audience is a must, e.g. media, or some small retailers and so on.
What is your goal?
If its your Goal to bring new news to your clients on a daily basis, then A blog would suit you the best.
If your website is going to be more of a “contact us” website, then a propper website is recommended.
If you have a website that is there for the reason of getting contact details for you and if it tells the public what you are about. You can have it load really fast. A blog after a while can become slow, if you don’t take care of it.
