Why freelancing is so profitable

I know a few people who do freelancing work for others. Some do it full time and some do it part time while they have a day job. Freelancing work is really quite profitable and here is why.
Freelancers have the opportunity to charge what they want per hour/per project etc. and because they have no overheads and don’t have salaries to pay, all the money goes straight into their pockets. Companies normally charge their rate which is
a little higher than freelancers because they have a bunch of overheads to cover, Petrol, rent, salaries etc. Freelancers are normally hard workers and produce a very good product or service. They are well motivated because if they don’t do a good job they won’t get paid and they most probably won’t eat at the end of the month.
Freelancers have very good contacts around their industry. People they meet and people who offer them jobs. When they get asked about an extended service they need to give, but cannot directly offer it to the client, they speak the truth of a company and don’t mislead you. why? they are not in competition with anyone, they do what they want when they want. 90% of the time when people find freelancers, they will stick with them.
A company would have to pay their rent, computers, staff, services, and tax. With all of that in mind, they set their prices. Freelancers don’t. They look at the job, and work their price out on what they need or what they charge.
John and Damian are two freelance designers that I’ve had the privilege of working with and know. They put clients in contact with me for prices of hosting. Because of this, I tend to make their requests a priority. (i’ll let you know why later.
)
So if you are thinking of starting a company in your field, why not freelance for a while instead. Its easier.
