Blog Rush
I came accross a site Called Blog Rush.
What is it? Its basically free advertising for your blog. I’m sure we all know about Google adsense and adwords and how it works. BlogRush works on the same basics. After you’ve signed up with Blogrush you get an Unique URL that you use to reffer people. The URL would look something like this: http://www.blogrush.com/r15934029 when someone follows that link and signs up to BlogRush, I get credits. With those credits I get, I get more exposure on other blogs and in the end more traffic.
I’ve just signed up with them, and I’m giving it a good test run. You will see the BlogRush “Advert” on the left of my blog. In there is posts from other bloggers who are also signed up with BlogRush. I’m not too sure how its calculated on what posts are displayed. But There are Genuine blog posts in there.
What does this cost?
The only real “cost” involved is having the blogRush Widget displayed on your blog. Like the one on the right of my blog. Other than that, its completely free. I think its a really great idea and has alot of potential. I don’t believe that people should be scarce when it comes to “giving away” traffic. If someone wants to do a link exchange with me, I am more than willing to do so.
With BlogRush, It takes all the admin away of having to manually create the links and post it on a separate page. It’s all automatically created and displayed in a neat looking widget.
I’ll give you a report back some day on how its been going for me. It it woks well, then I’ll let you all know. If It doesn’t work. The widget might disappear from my blog.
Till next time.
Robert
Content is king, again…
As you all well know by now, I’m sure. Content is King.
What that really means?
Well, you can have as many links to your site as you want, It can be the most “pretty” looking site on the internet, and it can be the best Optimized site. But one thing you cannot Excape: Content.
When you write something, you have to sit back, read it, and as yourself if you would want to read what you have just written. I am no professional when it comes to writing. But I know that when something is well written, It gets allot more hits than a post that is not so well written.
When I write something in a hurry and don’t really spend time on thinking what I am saying, I barely get any visitors to that post. Sure, I get people looking at it. But they only spend a couple of seconds looking at the post.
It takes time and effort to write something good. When you write a page for you website or your blog post, you need to keep Search engine Optimization in mind, as well as the flow of your article. You need to keep your readers interested in what you have to say.
I find that when I read someone elses blog, if the article is too long I lose conentration and move on to the next thing. I will only really read a whole article if my attention is kept throughout the post.
If there is something mentioned in the begining that I want to know about, but only gets explained later in the post, I find myself reading the whole post.
What are your thoughts about Content is King? I know alot of people write about it, So I’m not going to elaborate on it. I’ll leave that to the pro’s.
Online Advertising or old school?
Have you ever thought of Doing advertising online? If you always thought of advertising online, Have you thought of advertising Offline?
Witch is better? witch one gets you better results? First you need to know what your goals are with your advertising.
Users Today are getting lazier and lazier by the minute. They would rather Go to Google and do a search for their needs, then pick up the newspaper and go looking for what they want. In That respect, Its better to do Online advertising than using a Newpaper.
Ofline Advertising Is great aswell. When I see a very well designed banner or TV add, I make a point to go and see what the company is all about. It stick in my head. I cannot Remember one Online advert.
The other Problem with Online advertising is that People have become Banner Blind. They Don’t even see the banners that are displayed on websites. I suffer from that sometimes.
But having a proper Website with your details on is great. Doing the Right Search Engine Optimization is Crutial. What some people don’t understand is that when you create a website, 100’s of people are not going to Flock to your website, you have to work at getting visitors and probably have to do some Ofline advertising for your online Website.
The internet will never go down, and it will always be around. Outside will also always be around. People will always have to drive. They will always go do shopping. So if you have the right spot in the outside world. Your advertising will never fail.
